ACT On-Campus

The ACT On-Campus Test is a paper-based test and takes approximately 3 ½ – 4 hours. The test consists of four (4) timed multiple-choice sections – English, Math, Reading, and Science. It is offered several times throughout the year (with the exception of October and national test dates). The ACT On-Campus Test with Essay option is not offered at Savannah State University. The cost is $73 at the time of registration.

Registration & Payment Fees
Pre-registration and payment of test fees ($73) are simple and easy. Test candidates must be eligible to take the ACT On-Campus Test prior to test registration/payment. You are encouraged to register at least 24-48 hours in advance of the test date to confirm eligibility and seat availability.

Test Accommodations
Test accommodations for examinees with disabilities must be requested, reviewed and approved prior to testing. The request with appropriate documentation should be submitted at least 2-3 weeks prior to the test date through the Office of Disability Services with required documentation. • Bring valid photo identification (driver’s license, school ID with current year, passport, or government-issued ID) is required for admittance to the test. Personal face recognition and pictures of photo IDs are NOT acceptable. First and last names must match the registration. See www.actstudent.org for required valid photo ID.
• Bring Test Registration Confirmation (received via email at the time of registration/payment)
• Two (2) No. 2 pencils (No mechanical pencils allowed). Pencil sharpeners are available onsite.
• Acceptable calculators are allowed, but not required. Candidates must supply their own calculator. Please refer to the ACT Calculator Policy (PDF) or visit www.actstudent.org .
• Snacks and spill-proof drinks are allowed outside the testing room during break.
• You are encouraged to bring a sweater or jacket .
• Electronic devices are prohibited (includes listening, recording and photographic devices). Please review other prohibited items and behaviors listed at www.actstudent.org.
• Prohibited behaviors will result in a voided test and dismissal from the test without refund. For more information, view the Prohibited Behavior at the Test Center section of the Terms and Conditions (PDF).
• Test candidates must wait 60 days before retaking the ACT On-Campus, but may take the National ACT when available (see www.actstudent.org). If an examinee opens a test book, regardless of entering answers, the test will be considered as taken. Retests prior to 60 days will be voided without refund.
• Late arrivals will not be admitted and should expect to reschedule for the next available test date.

About the ACT Test Scores:

• Test score results are reported only to SSU Admissions Office.
• Test score reports are not available to other institutions or agency.
• Test results are NOT accepted for NCAA initial eligibility.

Looking to Retest?
