We strive to increase the camaraderie amongst staff members through development, social and recognition initiatives.
The Staff Support Council meets on the Third Thursday of each month at 3:00pm. Meetings are open to university employed staff members and are online via Microsoft Teams. Hybrid option coming soon.

Walk It Out Wednesdays
The Staff Support Council is pleased to announce “Walk It Out Wednesdays”, an effort designed to support the University System of Georgia’s Wellbeing Initiative. We invite you to join us every second and fourth Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., upstairs in Tiger Arena, for a 1-mile walk. As highlighted on the flyer, there is no pressure and no competition—just movement and motivation. This is an opportunity to connect with staff from across campus, track our steps together, and prioritize our physical health and well-being in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony Volunteers Needed
As we prepare for our spring 2026 commencement ceremony, we invite you to register as a volunteer and help make this special event memorable for our graduates and their families. Your support is invaluable in creating a welcoming and celebratory environment.
This special occasion will be held on Friday, May 8th. Volunteers will assist with various tasks related to the ceremony logistics. It is a great opportunity to network and connect with our campus community and celebrate our students’ achievements.
