Scholarships
Savannah State University students have an array of scholarship opportunities available to them for many majors, degrees and class levels.
Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant is free federal money for college. Eligibility is based on the information provided on the FAFSA.
Grants
Grants are awards that are not repaid. Only undergraduates who have not previously received a bachelor’s degree are eligible.

The total cost of an education includes direct costs which may appear on your semesterly student bill such as tuition and required fees. You should also anticipate incurring some indirect costs* that would not show on your student bill such as books, personal expenses, and transportation.
The 2025-2026 Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Is Now Live!
The 2025–2026 FAFSA form is now available . You must complete the form to apply for financial aid to help pay for attendance at college between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. SSU's code for the FAFSA is 001590.
