What is an eMajor?

An eMajor is an online degree program offered through the University System of Georgia’s eCampus. All courses are delivered fully online using a shared learning management system, allowing students to access course materials and instruction anytime, anywhere. Students register through their home institution, and courses are taught by experienced USG faculty in the online GoVIEW platform. This collaborative program gives students the flexibility of online learning while benefiting from the expertise of Georgia’s leading educators.

How do I register for eMajor classes?

You must take eMajor’s New Student Introduction Quiz and wait for your student account to be updated. Please note that this process can take 24 to 48 hours.

You may then register for eMajor classes in your PAWS account. They are listed under the E01 part of term on the Class Schedules. Keep in mind that eMajor registration for a term will not become available in PAWS until the designated registration opening date posted on the eMajor Academic Calendar.

Where do I take my eMajor classes?

In the online GoVIEW platform. GoVIEW is the learning management system that houses your eCore courses. It is important to access your course as early as possible. Up to two weeks before the semester begins, you will receive a welcome email with your username and important information about your course. Please be sure to check your spam folder!

What is my GoVIEW login?

Your username will be the same as your campus email username prefix followed by an underscore (_) plus an assigned acronym for your campus.

Example: jdoe_ssu

Your password will be your Banner password established at the time you registered for your eCore course. If you cannot remember your password or have password issues, you may access the “Forgot Password?” link directly under the login area on the GoVIEW site. When clicking on the “Forgot Password” link, you will need to type in your username in the format listed. The password reset link will be emailed to your campus email address. The email will be sent from [email protected].

How do I verify my attendance in an eMajor class?

You must log in to your eMajor class by the log in deadline (the earlier the better) and participate in the course by completing any mandatory attendance activities required by your instructor, or you will be reported as non-attending. If you are reported as non-attending, you may be dropped by your home institution.

If you are enrolled in more than one eMajorclass, you must complete any mandatory attendance activities in each class you are enrolled in during the term.
