Located in Hubert Technology Building, Room A-104, the Lab uses competitive and recreational esports to connect students with STEM education, academic-support resources, leadership development, career exploration, and applied technology experiences. Programming is designed to support student engagement, persistence, professional growth, and preparation for technology-driven careers.

The STEM Esports Lab provides a structured environment where students can develop skills that extend beyond competitive gameplay. Through participation in Lab activities, students may strengthen:

Academic and Career Success
The STEM Esports Activity integrates student engagement with academic and professional development. Participating students may be asked to complete designated academic-support or workforce-readiness activities, such as tutoring, study-skills workshops, résumé development, career assessments, employer presentations, internship preparation, or professional-development sessions.
Participation and engagement may be documented through registration records, event attendance, surveys, academic-support participation, and other approved assessment methods. These measures help the Office evaluate the Activity’s contribution to student success and continuous program improvement.
Summer and Community Engagement
The STEM Esports Activity has expanded its reach through collaborative summer programming. Recent partnerships have included Savannah State University TRIO Programs—Educational Talent Search and Upward Bound—for two-week student sessions and the City of Savannah for a three-week summer camp.
The CETC Outreach & Career Development Office has also coordinated separate STEM engagement activities involving participants in the STAR School Initiative. Future outreach activities will depend on available Title III funding, staffing, institutional priorities, and partner support.

The STEM Esports Lab welcomes appropriate collaboration with academic departments, student organizations, employers, alumni, schools, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and community partners.
