University Recreation & Wellness Center
Savannah State University’s Recreation & Wellness programs offer students a comprehensive array of facilities and activities designed to promote physical health, mental well-being, and community engagement. Our mission is to educate and empower students, faculty, and staff on the importance of wellness through diverse programs and state-of-the-art facilities.
Our facilities have undergone recent renovations and upgrades to ensure a high-quality environment for all patrons. We are committed to continually improving our offerings to provide exceptional service to the SSU community.

Willcox-Wiley Gymnasium
A versatile space for basketball, volleyball, and other indoor sports, featuring a recently refinished floor to enhance your athletic experience. 
The Body Shop Fitness Center
Equipped with modern exercise machines and free weights, this facility supports various fitness routines and has been updated with new equipment to meet your workout needs. 
Swimming Pool
Our pool, with a re-lined floor, offers opportunities for lap swimming, aquatic fitness classes, and leisure activities. (Currently Closed for Renovation)
Outdoor Courts
Including basketball, sand volleyball, tennis, and a skateboard court, these courts are available daily from 7 AM to 7 PM, providing ample space for recreational play.
Multi-Purpose Room
Available by reservation, this space accommodates group fitness classes, workshops, and special events, catering to a variety of wellness activities.
Bikes
Come Rent a beach cruiser or mountain bike to get some extra workouts in and on campus.
