The forum is a dynamic, two-day event that unites nearly 400 leaders from various sectors, including non-profits, government, business, civic groups, universities, and emerging talent. The forum’s mission is to foster the region’s collective potential through innovation, collaboration, and the development of both emerging and established leaders across diverse community segments.
Mikell, a 2013 alumnus, leads SSU’s governmental affairs strategy while also cultivating strategic partnerships that enhance its economic development and community engagement efforts. Her leadership extends beyond the university, with significant volunteer involvement in organizations such as Leadership Savannah, Employability, Chatham Savannah Citizens Advocacy, and Union Mission. Mikell also made history as the first African American to serve as President of the Georgia Jaycees.
“We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and excited to see her continue to shape the future of our region,” said Interim President Cynthia Robinson Alexander, J.D.
