SSU MARCHING BAND
The Marching Band brings energy and school spirit to campus events through dynamic performances that combine music, movement, and precision.
SSU SYMPHONIC BAND
The Savannah State Symphonic Band consists of the finest wind and percussion players at SSU. Featuring performers selected by audition, this group regularly performs the best in wind band literature, from the Renaissance masters to the most recent prize winning compositions.
SSU JAZZ BAND
The Jazz Ensemble is a premier ensemble and the University "big band". This group performs literature standard in the world of jazz, as well as contemporary pieces by some of today's best known jazz artists.
SSU PEP BAND
This is the group that provides musical support for basketball and arena functions. The Pep Band is open to any student regardless of major. Rehearsals generally begin in late October on Monday evenings with performances starting in early November at home and selected away basketball games.
PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE
The Percussion Ensemble offers students the opportunity to perform a wide range of rhythmic music, from traditional percussion literature to contemporary works. Open to all skill levels, the group emphasizes collaboration, technique, and musical expression.
