Chief Terry Enoch Named SSU 2024 Homecoming Parade Marshall

Chief Terry Enoch will serve as parade marshal for the 2024 Savannah State University (SSU) Homecoming parade, which will take place in Downtown Savannah on Saturday, October 26, at 9 a.m.

Chief Terry Enoch will serve as parade marshal for the 2024 Savannah State University (SSU) Homecoming parade, which will take place in Downtown Savannah on Saturday, October 26, at 9 a.m. The Homecoming Committee selected Chief Enoch based on his community involvement and contributions.

A native of Greensboro, NC, Enoch is the proud father of three children, and he has been married to his wife Veronica (who he met at SSU) for 33 years.

Enoch earned his Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice from SSU and a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbus State University.

Chief Enoch serves as Chief of Police for the Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education Police Department.

He is a member of the Historic First African Baptist Church and serves as a deacon. Chief Enoch is a 1981 initiate of the SSU chapter, the Gamma Chi of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is a member of the Savannah (GA) Alumni Chapter.

Through his selfless leadership, Chief Enoch has dedicated himself to serving his community in public safety and volunteer work. Chief Enoch serves on the boards of many local nonprofit organizations and has received numerous recognitions.

In his response to the invitation, Chief Enoch stated, “Thank you for this prestigious honor and the opportunity to serve as the 2024 Parade Marshal. It is a privilege to be part of such a meaningful tradition.”
