Savannah State Unveils 2025 Football Schedule

2025 Football which features five contests inside Theodore A. Wright Stadium
Savannah, Georgia-The Savannah State Department of Athletics has released its 2025 football which features five contests inside Theodore A. Wright Stadium, four contests away and one neutral site game.
The season will open at home on August 30th with a Week Zero SIAC contest against East Division and I-95 rival Edward Waters. The contest has been designated as Alumni Appreciation/Faculty & Staff Day with kickoff set for 6:00pm.
The Tigers will step out of conference to begin September on the 6th, as they will welcome the Hawks of Shorter University to Savannah for a non-conference matchup at home. It will also be Student Organizations Day/Greek/International/Student Appreciation Day at 6:00pm.
Following an open date on September 13th, Savannah State will hit the road for the first time on September 20th as they head to Fairfield, Alabama to face defending SIAC champion, Miles College.
SSU will return to Wright Stadium on September 27th against SIAC West Division foe Kentucky State for Military Appreciation/Cancer Awareness Day at 6:00pm.
Three straight games away from “The Hostess City” await the Orange & Blue, first beginning with a matchup against former Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rival, South Carolina State on October 4th.
The Tigers will return to “The Palmetto State” on October 11th as they head to Columbia to face Allen in an SIAC East Division tilt.
On October 18th, Savannah State will face rival Fort Valley State in the inaugural “Good Trouble Heritage Football Classic” in Augusta, GA.
October will come to a close on the 25th back at home as SSU will welcome Morehouse College for Homecoming 2025 at 3:00pm.
Savannah State will open the final month of the season on November 1st for their final road contest at rival Albany State.
The 2025 season will conclude on November 8th as the Tigers will honor their Senior Class and have High School Band Day as they will battle Benedict for a 3:00pm kickoff at Wright Stadium.
Season ticket package, Homecoming tailgate, RV sales, and single game ticket information will be released at a later date.
