Tiger Court now proudly bears the name of The Melvin Bostic Residence Hall — welcoming future generations to share in his enduring legacy.
In 1972, Melvin Bostic – a Savannah State student and war veteran – was tragically killed while raising money for student scholarships. His courage and sacrifice led the University to name Bostic Hall in his honor.
Though the original Bostic Hall has been removed, his legacy lives on. Tiger Court will now proudly bear his name, ensuring his story continues to inspire future generations of Tigers.
