Join us for an exciting and vibrant theatrical experience as the Visual and Performing Arts Program proudly presents a Players by the Sea production of School Girls; or, the African Mean Girls Play by Jocelyn Bioh, directed by Assistant Professor Tomica S. Jenkins.

Set in 1986 at the Aburi Girls Boarding School in Ghana, this sharp and witty play follows Paulina—the reigning queen bee—who is determined to become Miss Ghana and claim the fame, fortune, and prestige she believes come with the crown. But when a new transfer student from America arrives, the competition takes an unexpected and deeply personal turn. Full of humor, heart, and powerful commentary, this is a story you won’t want to miss.
