Annual Scholarship Gala

An Investment Into the Future

Savannah State University’s Annual Scholarship Gala celebrates student success and the rich history of the institution, while providing meaningful opportunities for the community to financially support students throughout their collegiate journey. Net proceeds from this black-tie affair provide scholarship support for deserving students.

Established in 1890, Savannah State University is the oldest public Historically Black College and University in Georgia and the first institution of higher learning in the city of Savannah. Students select majors from over 30 degree programs in five colleges: Business Administration, Education, Engineering Technology & Computing, Media, Arts & Communication and Sciences & Humanities. Learn more by visiting SavannahState.edu.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 18th at the Savannah Convention Center and will include a scholarship presentation, honoring a select group of students from their respective colleges, in addition to community impact awards.

Please join us and consider making a gift that lasts a lifetime. We appreciate your generosity to future generations of scholars.
