Kayla Windhom a graduating senior of the Visual & Performing Arts program, concentrating in studio art . For her thesis , the exhibit explores how the concept of spore-inspired creations can stretch across different genres and imaginative storytelling. Reimagining the Mushroom Kingdom actively being created in a “Mushroom Room,” the installation takes the form of a working studio, inviting viewers into the artist’s process of creating and experimenting with fungus imagery. Through completed illustrations,paintings and developing artwork. The project blends fact and fiction through fungal imagery ,experimentation, and the evolving role of fungal forms as symbols of connection, mystery, and transformation.
