Rules regarding electronic items such as cellphones and other prohibited items/behaviors are strictly enforced. Testing misconduct and/or irregularities will be reported to the instructor/or associated testing agency for further action. Testing rooms and computers are monitored.

Test Center Rules

All test registrations should be completed online. Students should bring only items allowed for test.
Arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled reporting time.
All scheduled test times are reporting times, not actual test start times. Please allow an additional 15-25 minutes after reporting time for check-in, photo ID check, general instructions, seating, etc.
Photo identification (clear, recognizable, government-issued/or current SSU student ID) is required for all tests. Please bring a second photo ID as an extra precaution.
Examinees are responsible for knowing all requirements for exams including maximum time allowed, testing aides allowed, test payment (if applicable), etc. Check with your professor or home institution for details.
Electronic and communication devices are not allowed in the testing room. This includes cellphones, smartwatches, Fitbits, listening, recording and photographic devices. If such items are brought into to the test center, they must be turned off and placed in the designated area along with other prohibited items. Testing staff is NOT responsible for items. NOTE: Any electronic device suspected in an irregularity or misconduct situation may be checked and/or confiscated by the testing staff.
No hats or hoods may be worn during testing, unless worn for religious purposes or approved by testing staff. Personal belongings must be placed under workstation, or in designated area.
Only items designated by the instructor or testing agency will be permitted during a test. Amendments to items allowed must be received in writing from the appropriate person(s) and sent directly to test center staff.
Restroom breaks are allowed (unless otherwise stated), however, the time out of the room cannot be made up. Excessive or extended breaks are documented and/or reported to instructor/or testing agency as an irregularity.
Food and drinks must be consumed outside the testing room. Spill-proof drinks will be placed in area designated by testing staff.
Students requiring test accommodations such as extended time, small group, magnification, etc.) must have prior written permission from the Counseling and Disabilities Resource Center at 912-358-3115.

Misconduct

Engaging in misconduct will result in dismissal from the test center and reporting of incident to the instructor/college of record and/or testing agency. Misconduct may result in voided test/or failing grade, further disciplinary action, and/or suspension.

Examples of misconduct include, but are not limited to the following:

EXAMPLES OF MISCONDUCT
Giving or receiving unauthorized assistance of any kind	Causing a disturbance of any kind
Using any unauthorized aids (electronic devices, books, notes, calculators, computers, websites, etc.)	Removing or attempting to remove questions and/or responses or notes (in any format) from the testing center.
Attempting to take a test for someone else	Attempting to remove scratch paper from the testing center.
Failure to follow examination regulations or instruction from testing staff	Sharing a calculator with other examinees
Talking with other examinees during a test	Sharing of notes with other examinees
