Next-Generation ACCUPLACER

Students may be required to take the ACCUPLACER test as one factor in the decision for admission to SSU. Test results may be used for course placement for accepted students.

accuplacer logoThe Next-Generation ACCUPLACER is a computer-adaptive test used to determine the individual skill level and readiness in reading, writing and math. Simply referred to as ACCUPLACER, eligibility and/or approval to take the test is based upon the decision status of a completed SSU admission application. The ACCUPLACER score results are only one factor of multiple measures used in the undergraduate admission process and course placement. The ACCUPLACER tests used for admission/placement: the Reading and Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra and Statistics (QAS-Math) both are untimed and multiple choice and the Write Placer, a written response, is timed for 60 minutes.

For more information on the test requirements or the status of your admission application, contact the Office of Admissions 912-358-4338 or email [email protected]. Visit the official Next Generation ACCUPLACER website to learn more about the test (content, timing, preparation, etc.).
