ID Card Services
All students residing on-campus or off-campus, including distance learning students, as well as all employees of the university and its on-site contractors, are required to obtain a Savannah State University ID card. ID cards cannot be mailed to students. They must be picked up in person only by the owner of that particular ID card.
To obtain the card, it is necessary to provide a legal picture ID (such as a military ID, state ID, driver’s license, and/or passport). It is mandatory that the ID card be visibly displayed at all times while on campus. A student’s card is valid for services each semester once the student has registered for classes.
The Savannah State ID card is not transferable. It is illegal to give your card to someone else. Only the first card is issued without a fee. Replacement ID cards need to be paid for before receiving a new card. In order to avoid confusion with your student account, do not pay through your PAWS. Payments can be made online through the Marketplace.
Lost cards must be reported immediately to Auxiliary Services to prevent unauthorized use of any meal plan used or funds placed on the card via flex funds. Please call (912) 358-3109 or email [email protected] to report a lost card.
Thoroughly read the Cardholder Agreement, that you will sign when you receive your ID Card, for additional terms and conditions related to your card.
