Student Conduct

Student Conduct serves as a key resource to ensure that students adhere to the University’s standards of behavior while receiving guidance and support throughout the conduct process.

Savannah State University is dedicated to fostering a community where students learn and grow both academically and personally. Under the Office of Student Affairs, the Coordinator of Student Conduct serves as a key resource to ensure that students adhere to the University’s standards of behavior while receiving guidance and support throughout the conduct process.

The Coordinator of Student Conduct is responsible for reviewing reports of misconduct, conducting investigations, and determining the appropriate course of action. This includes resolving cases through mutual agreements, imposing sanctions for less severe violations, or referring cases to the University Conduct Review Board or Student Government Association Judicial Branch for formal adjudication. In some instances, cases may involve mediation or mandatory counseling services to address the issue constructively.

Savannah State University expects students to govern their actions responsibly and uphold the values outlined in the Code of Student Conduct, both on and off campus. Violations of the code may result in disciplinary actions, regardless of the student’s class level, age, or residence status.

Through this process, the University strives to maintain an environment that encourages civility, accountability, and personal development, providing students with the resources and support they need to navigate challenges and succeed in their academic journey.
