Room Assignments

Housing assignments are determined based on the completion date of your application and payment of the non-refundable application fee. While every effort is made to honor your preferences, placement is subject to availability. To increase your chances of receiving your preferred housing, submit your application, contract, and room reservation/damage deposit as soon as you are accepted at Savannah State University. Only completed housing applications will be processed.

By staying proactive and adhering to these guidelines, you can ensure a smoother housing process and a better residential experience at Savannah State University.

Changing Housing Requests
If you need to update your housing preferences, email your changes to [email protected] as soon as possible.
Roommate Conflicts
Room changes are not allowed during the first two weeks of the semester to confirm vacancies. After this period, submit a request to your hall staff if you wish to move.
Housing Request Confirmation
Housing staff will notify you about the status of your request. Assignments for the fall semester are confirmed in July or weekly for students applying after June 1.
Roommate Information
You can view your roommate’s details by logging into your housing portal after July 1, once your room assignment is finalized.
