Understanding Regalia
Regalia refers to the traditional academic dress worn by graduates and faculty during commencement ceremonies, symbolizing academic achievements and institutional pride. At Savannah State University, regalia typically includes a cap, gown, and hood, each representing the wearer’s degree and field of study.
