Credit by Exam

CLEP (College Level Examination Program)

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is designed to allow students the opportunity to receive credit for college classes through examination only.   Savannah State University will accept up to 15 semester hours of core curriculum classes through the CLEP program. CLEP Test requires a six-month waiting period (for any student who tested prior to October 17) before you can retake the same exam.

NEW: A revised CLEP retest policy will take effect on Friday, October 17th. The new policy allows for exams to be repeated after a three-month waiting period. Please note that the policy change is not retroactive, so candidates who have tested prior to October 17, 2014 must still wait six months before retaking the same exam.
