Project Description
Our eCYBERMISSION program offers an integrated approach for engaging the 6th-9th grade students, teachers, professors, administrators and parents in activities that will prepare students for the eCYBERMISSION competition and improve awareness of STEM careers and AEOP opportunities. The program is framed to provide hands on activities to solve real world problems. This project will focus on providing students with real world STEM based problems, particularly from the local community. Guidance from team leaders will help student groups solve the problem which will result in invoking their curiosity and investigate interest in STEM programs. Providing students with real-world problems will help with developing their applied critical thinking, and thus force them to brainstorm solutions. The program focuses on the following study areas:
- Engineering (Robotics, Technology, Alternative Sources of Energy, National Security and Safety)
- Physics (Forces and Motion)
- Chemistry (Forensic Sciences)
- Applied Mathematics (Analysis of Large Data Sets using Analytics)
- Cyber Security
- Environmental Sciences
