Faculty & Staff
The Write Attitude was designed with students in mind. We wanted to create a program that would enhance students' attitudes about writing so that they would ultimately become better writers in and out of the classroom. In doing so, we organized a number of events that would encourage students to write. Without the participation of Savannah State's faculty and staff, positive results would not be possible.
Therefore, we have created a number of outlets for the faculty and staff. They include:
- Faculty Development Seminar: 8-week training led by Dr. Lisa Yount, Ph.D.
- Faculty Development Workshops: Workshops led by faculty and staff members that have either participated in a Faculty Development Seminar or a writing-related conference.
- The Write Space: A creative writing group for faculty and staff.
- The Write News: A newsletter specifically designed for faculty and staff.
Staff Development Workshops:
Fall 2016 (12/5/2016): "Business E-mail Etiquette Rules for All Professionals", led by Frank Mendelson, Vice-President Client Relations and Managing Editor with PRI, a creative marketing and communications agency.
Spring 2016 (6/8/2016): "Writing and Effective Communication in the Workplace", led by Frank Mendelson, Vice-President Client Relations and Managing Editor with PRI, a creative marketing and communications agency.
