Online Education

For adult learners, taking courses via the Internet is a solution to balancing work, family and academic responsibilities. SSU and the University System of Georgia offer online programs that are particularly suited to busy adults who want a degree from an accredited institution.

Because SSU and the USG are expanding online degree and program offerings to meet the demand for online instruction, you will see additions to this website as new programs are introduced. Visit the eLearning and Online Degrees at SSU site for more information.

Orientation for SSU Online Students

If you are a new undergraduate student enrolled in a fully online degree program, SSU offers an online orientation to assist you in this transition. The online orientation covers important information such as Student ID#, SSU E-Mail, Advising, Registration, Accessing Courses and Fees, and Financial Aid.

Are you Ready for Online Learning?

Georgia On My Line provides an online assessment tool helpful to students who may be new to the online environment. The exercise should take about 30 minutes and allows students to exit and return to complete the process. REMEMBER - While highly recommended, the assessment is strictly voluntary. The questions are designed to evaluate your level of motivation, learning style, computer/tech knowledge, keyboarding speed, and reading comprehension. Once you've completed the exercise, a report on your strengths and areas needing improvement will be sent for you to review. The point is to provide students with information that will help them bolster their skills for online success. More information about Georgia On My Line can be found on their website.
