Advisement - All new students are assigned a professional advisor in the Center for Student Success (CSS).
Closed classes - We can walk you through how to register for waitlists and how to register that class once you've received an invite to register for the class.
Holds - If you have holds on your account, we can let you know what those holds are. If you have questions about them, we'll help you find the office or person that can answer those questions.
Major Grids - Students who completed BUSA 2185 in Su19 or earlier should use the 2018 grids. Students who took BUSA 2185 in Fa19 or later should be using the 2019 grids. The 2019 grids are also in effect for the 2020-2021 year.

Minors - Business majors are not required to have a minor but may opt to complete one if they so choose. View the list of business minors and their requirements for students that are business majors and non-business majors. Requirements for other available minors may be found in the Academic Catalog.
Pre-requisites and Registration Errors - The most common registration errors are the "Pre-requisite/Test score error". All course descriptions, which include any course prerequisites, are located in the back of the Academic Catalog. The Pre-requisite Sheet lists all business courses and when the courses are offered; this sheet or the catalog should be checked to verify that the student has met the course requirements.
The second most common registration is "Class Restriction". Students must be Juniors (60 or more earned hours) to take upper division (the course numbers begin with a 3 or 4, e.g. MGNT 3165) business classes. COBA does allow for 2 exceptions and students meeting either one must contact COBA Student Services to be registered for the classes. Those exceptions are: have 59 earned hours, which signifies the completion of Sophomore year; have between 42 and 58 earned hours and have completed the business Area F (BUSA 1103, 2105 and 2106; ACCT 2101 and 2102; and ECON 2106).
