Minority Serving Institution Scholarship Reservation (MSISR) Application Guidelines
In order to process a MSISR Scholarship application for any perspective student applying to the NROTC Program at Savannah State University, the following documentation must be completed and submitted:
- MSISR Application
- Candidate Interest Form
- All College and High School Transcripts (unofficial or official)
- A copy of all SAT or ACT scores (unofficial or official)
- The following completed and signed forms
- NSTC 1533/102 - Debarment and Suspension from Receipt of FederalAssistance Statement for Four-Year NROTC Applications
- NSTC 1533/101 - Drug Statement
- NSTC 1533/112 - Statement of Understanding for NROTC Applications
- Other Required Documents:
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher/professor, coach, or JROTC Instructor
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Digital photo of applicant in khaki pants and a short sleeve polo shirt
- Email confirming whether or not an applicant is currently in a military Delayed Entry Program (DEP) or in a military reserve status
Submit items 1 through 6 listed above to the Naval ROTC Unit Savannah State University Recruiting Officer. Please ensure that you have included all required documents before submission. Incomplete packages cannot be reviewed. You may return the application by any of the following three methods:
- Hand deliver to front desk of NROTC unit at Savannah State University
- Fax to NROTC unit (call to ensure proper receipt)
- Mail to NROTC unit
- Scan and email
