Savannah State University recognizes the exceptional academic achievements of its students during this annual ceremony.

Other student scholars will receive ribbons of honor.
Professional Attire
Recipients are required to wear business casual attire.
Ceremony
The event begins promptly at 9:30 a.m. Recipients are required to arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for best seating.
Disability Access
In order to ensure all guests to be safe and comfortable, please alert an usher if a guest has a mobility impairment of any kind.
COME EARLY: To secure disability parking, avoid being jostled by the crowds and be seated before the ceremony begins. We strongly recommend arriving no later than 9:30 a.m.
DISABILITY DROP-OFF AND PARKING: The west entrance parking lot of the Student Union is the designated disability drop-off area. You will see handicap signage there. Using the disability drop-off area will minimize the distance guests with disabilities have to cover.
The west entrance parking lot of the arena will be reserved for vehicles with valid disability placards or tags. Once that parking lot is full, please use other handicap-designated parking areas on campus. A dedicated wheelchair accessible shuttle bus will be available to transport guests to the disability drop-off area at the arena and return them to the various parking lots after the ceremony.
DISABILITY ENTRANCE AND SEATING: Please use the west arena entrance. There is limited wheelchair seating in the stands and it is on a first come, first served basis. Guests may use the elevator, which is located near the front entrance of the Student Union, to access the ballroom.
Chairs on the floor can be rearranged to accommodate walkers and wheelchairs. Guests in the disability section on the floor may want to remain seated and meet their honorees and/or the rest of their party in the disability seating area after the graduation ceremony to avoid crowded areas.
