New Student Orientation

Congratulations on your acceptance to Savannah State University!  It’s time to get started on your journey to becoming part of the Tiger family…

So, what do I do first?  Attend one of the New Student Orientation days on June 21st, 24th or July 1st, 12th, 19th, 25th or 26th or August 6th.

Your first step in this process is to attend the mandatory New Student Orientation.   Orientation is designed to make your transition into college one that is simple and successful. We do this by ensuring that everything from your financial aid, housing arrangements, meal plans, ID card, and registration for classes are all squared away for you.  Once all of this business is complete, you’re ready to take the next step—the fun of participating in the Welcome Week!

What is Welcome Week?

Welcome Week is a mandatory scheduled event August 6-11, 2013.  During this time you will actually settle into your residential hall, meet your roommate, socialize with other students, network, and enjoy a number of important and entertaining events that are scheduled for you.  Remember: to make the most of the Welcome Week, it is very important that the tasks of New Student Orientation are already completed.

Registering for Orientation

Orientation is a fee-based program; $60 fee can be paid now or charged to your student account.  Once registration has been completed a confirmation email with important additional information will be sent. *This means that it is very important that we have an accurate email address on file for you.
