State Authorizations 

The U.S. Department of Education requires compliance with state regulations of any state in which SSU provides distance education for students. To facilitate this compliance with state regulations, SSU has joined the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA). 

This agreement allow SSU to offer distance education to other member states. To find out if you state of residence is a member state before applying to a program with SSU, please visit the NC-SARA website, https://nc-sara.org/

Out-of-State-Complaint Resolution 

Savannah State University is committed to addressing student grievances, complaints, and concerns in a timely manner. Students residing outside the State of Georgia while attending SSU who desire to resolve a grievance should follow the grievance procedure outlined in the Catalog and Student Handbook. NC-SARA’s interest is also ensuring that member institutions maintain appropriate grievance procedures and standards of procedural fairness and that the procedures are applied appropriately.
