189th Commencement Ceremony

Chancellor Henry "Hank" Huckaby
University System of Georgia (USG) Chancellor Henry "Hank" Huckaby will be the graduation speaker. Prior to becoming Chancellor, Huckaby was a teacher and administrator in the university system and taught at private colleges and universities. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Georgia State University. He continued his education through additional graduate studies at the University of Georgia. Huckaby will retire as Chancellor at the end of the year.

Graduate Studies Hooding Ceremony
Thursday, December 8, 6 p.m.
Student Union ballroom, 2nd Floor
Students who are completing their graduate studies are given their discipline’s colors. They will receive their hoods to wear in the graduation ceremony. The event is open to the public.
Friday, December 9, 7 p.m.
Students who are graduating from the Army and Navy ROTC programs will receive their military commission at this ceremony. This event is open to the public.
