Savannah State University (SSU) President Dr. Jermaine Whirl will deliver his 100-Day Address on Thursday, July 17th at 11 a.m. in the Torian Auditorium, located in the Howard Jordan Building on SSU’s campus.
This milestone event will highlight the progress made during Dr. Whirl’s first 100 days in office and will offer a bold, forward-looking vision for the university’s future. The address will touch on SSU’s academic and operational accomplishments, new and ongoing initiatives, and a strategic framework that positions the institution for long-term growth and impact.
Dr. Whirl, who officially began his tenure as the 15th president of Savannah State University earlier this year, has spent his initial months engaging with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community stakeholders to assess SSU’s strengths and opportunities.
“These first 100 days have reaffirmed what makes Savannah State such a special institution,” said Dr. Whirl. “I’m looking forward to sharing our early successes and presenting a strategic vision that honors our legacy while advancing our mission in bold and transformative ways.”
The event is free and open to the community. RSVP is required.
Details regarding livestream access and media coverage opportunities will be shared via SSU’s official website and social media platforms.
