Recital Hour

MUSC 1000 (Recital Hour) is an excellent opportunity that allows students to perform, critique, and experience live music. This class meets every Wednesday from 1:00 to 1:50 p.m. All students seeking the BFA degree with a concentration in Music will be required to attend seven semesters of Recital Hour and receive a passing grade each time. Students should refer to section 8.3 of the Music Student Guidebook for more information concerning attendance requirements.


Majors and minors enrolled in applied lessons who wish to perform on Recital Hour should complete and submit the online form to Dr. Christopher Jordan in Kennedy 112 or via e-mail at This form must be submitted no later than one week before the recital in which you wish to perform.
