Apply to Graduate School

All applicants to Savannah State University graduate programs must hold a baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting association or its international equivalent prior to the expected semester of matriculation. Applicants are responsible for submitting application materials required for admission. These items include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • $25 non-refundable graduate application fee

  • Official transcripts from ALL colleges attended

  • A statement of purpose

  • A current resume

  • Three Letters of Recommendation

  • Certificate of Immunization

  • Official GRE, GMAT or MAT scores (Depending on program)

  • Consent Form (optional)

Applications are not considered complete until ALL of the following documents are received. Your application WILL NOT be submitted for review if any of the following documents are missing. Application materials are reviewed by the application review committee in the program for which the applicant applies. Applicant recommendations are made based on the complete application packet. Applicants must be admitted to the Graduate School before they are eligible to register. Official acceptance is conveyed to the applicant in a formal letter issued by the Office of Graduate Studies. Admission is granted for a specific semester and is validated by registration for that semester.

June 1 - International Students

June 15 - Regular Admissions & Graduate Assistantships


October 1 - Regular Admission, International Students & Graduate Assistantships



March 1 - International Students

March 15 - (For Social Work, only the Advanced Standing program is applicable)
