2012 Urban Planning Summer Camp

The SSU Urban Studies and Planning program will offer a four-day and free-of-charge summer camp for third to fifth grade students and introduce them to the principles and practices of urban planning. The 2012 Urban Planning Summer Camp will use the 35-year-old Box City Curriculum which is a project of the Center for Understanding the Built Environment (CUBE). The activity teaches participants about a range of planning and development related issues, from architecture and design, conservation to affordable housing.

The Summer Camp is made possible with support from the 2012 President’s Faculty Mini-Grant Initiative and will be held at the King Frazier Student Center on the Savannah State University campus on June 25-28, 2012 at 9am to 3pm.
