Assuring Commitment, Continuity,
and Excellence for Students' Success
Savannah State University is the grantee of four educational intervention programs designed to ensure the success of students through secondary school to college graduation. These programs are called ACCESS Programs: Educational Talent Search (ETS), Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP), Student Support Services (SSS), and Upward Bound (UB). Each program helps participants to overcome academic, social, and cultural barriers to higher education. They offer a wide range of services to increase student's awareness of requirements for access and success in institutions of higher education.
The mission of ACCESS Programs is to maintain a strong commitment to assuring access and opportunities for the success of low-income, first generation college and/or disabled students in their quest for academic excellence.
